A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a specific mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you deactivate an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the very same domain, you’ll get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital if you are running a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving spam emails, you can use the catch-all option with email filters so as to get only legitimate email messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without difficulty in case you have a cloud hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet remarkably simple to work with, and it will permit you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be shown alphabetically in this section and to the right of each one of them you’ll see a small "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will enable this option, clicking it once more will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you’ve already got another one with this option enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all feature can be enabled easily in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with us. All the email addresses that you have set up with the domain names hosted in the account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll find a tiny icon handily situated right next to each one. With only one click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with this option already activated and there isn't activated email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the context menu that will surface. If any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will notify you, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
